Tim Kenyon, ENP has over 35 years in the telecommunications industry. From 1993 to April of 2018, Tim led Conveyant Systems, Inc., developing the TeleDirectory line of attendant call handling applications, and Enterprise 9-1-1 solutions and services with the Sentry 911 suite of Emergency Response Management products and services. Conveyant was also a reseller of Bandwidth Emergency 911 Call Routing Services. Tim was also the Managing Director of First Response Innovations, LLC, the actual developers of the Sentry 911 solutions that are still offered today as one of the leading enterprise 911 applications used by Avaya. Tim and First Response sold the Sentry Solutions in 2019 to another firm of mostly former employees of Conveyant.
After a brief stint as Vice President of Business Development for US Operations of Komutel, Inc., from July 0f 2018 to March of 2020, Tim has been continuing to represent multiple organizations from across the world bringing specialized solutions for 9-1-1 and NG9-1-1 Core Services to the US market. These include console solutions for healthcare and public safety agencies, LMR and call recording, Enterprise 911 Alerting solutions for compliance with Kari's Law and Ray Baum's Act, and NG911 Functional Elements for ESInet deployments. Companies represented include: AirOne Solutons Group, Komutel Inc., Genesis Systems, Nybsys, Beta80 Group, Axxess, Bandwidth and more.
In 2021, Tim joined Synergem Technologies as VP of Sales. In 2023, Tim moved to VP of Product Management. (More details to come).
Since 2018, Tim also actively served on the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) National Institute Board (NIB) as Southeastern Delegate.The NIB administers the Emergency Number Professional (ENP) program within NENA. In addition to his responsibilities on the NIB, Tim participates in multiple NG9-1-1 working groups and committees helping define NG9-1-1 standards and procedures. These groups include or have included the Data Structures Committee, EIDO Management WG, DS-CLDXF Canada WG, ESInet - PSBN Interconnection WG, PSAPOPS Supplemental Location Data WG, PSAPLOGIS Emergency Telephone Notification Systems WG, the NG Data Flow Workgroup, the PSAPOPS-PSAP Operations Committee, and the PSAPLOGIS-NG9-1-1 Impacts on the PSAP Work Group.
Tim is a certified Emergency Number Professional (ENP) with NENA and also holds the FEMA Introduction to Incident Command System ICS-100 Certification. Early in his career, Tim was also a Vocational Instructor in the state of California in telecommunications and taught several classes in pbx and key system telecommuncations systems, the history of telecommunications, and low voltage electronics instructor in Georgia. In his spare time, Tim also works for several venue management companies as a security team member at multiple sports and entertainment venues in the Atlanta area.
